Husband and Wife Mark and Alison Hazell established Hazell&Hazell in late 2016 after realising the rising demand for unique craft gins during their ventures with Jaw Brew – their micro-brewery based in Hillington, Glasgow since 2014.
With Mark being the born Forager he is, the botanicals have always been hand picked from their family home The Jaw in Bardowie, Scotland. Coincidently, it would appear that distilling gin at The Jaw was reviving a practice that had been arrested (in more ways that one!) nearly 200 years ago. Adding orange to juniper, coriander and angelica root, the unique botanicals of blackcurrant, bay, bulrush stem and ground elder give fresh, grassy and nutty undertones to the distinctive light, and florally refreshing gin.
